I'm puzzled - why the explanation mark in the name?
It looks like the author is pleased with his work but my rudimentary BASIC skills are no help.
Anyone have any ideas?

HAL6128

I remember a listing from a German magazine which I put it into my CPC. It looks like the same but I can't remember from scratch which one. Either "Schneider / CPC international" (maybe the "software experiment / complex graphics" by Mathias Uphoff) or from "happy computer", or somekind of listing of the "life" simulation?

By chance, I had a look at the video before it got deleted, and I'm confident that HAL6128 is correct, and that the program in question is one called "Reproduktionsmuster" (reproduction patterns) from this German "CPC International" magazine article by Matthias Uphoff on the topic of cellular automata (with "Game of Life" being the famous example):

https://archive.org/details/18_Schneider_CPC_International_1986-08/page/n123/mode/2up

The article starts on page 120, the program listing in question is the first one on page 125.
