That's pretty nice as a type-in, I bet I'd have been happy if I had typed it back in the day...

ComSoft6128

Yea for a type-in it's very good and importantly, fun!
Incidentally CampurSoft released Sean's package "The BASIC Idea"  a year later in 94.

I was certainly happy when I typed it in all those years ago! :)

You can find all of Sean McManus's CPC games and apps here: https://www.sean.co.uk/books/amstrad/index.shtm

I'm teaching my boy Scratch with his book, and I remembered his name, so I looked online and saw it was the same Sean.

It was a nice surprise to come across this thread! Thank you for your appreciation of my game. I think this was the best type-in I wrote. It was only about two-thirds of a page in AA, so it seems like good value for typing time today. It's wonderful to know it's remembered all these years later.

I've got a version on my website that you can play in your browser. I've improved the presentation a bit in this version, and changed the keys to something friendlier, and I've included the page from AA there too for anyone who thinks this might be taking the easy way out :-)

Most of my other type-ins are also on my website in a "playable" form now, including Gribbet from AA and Wallbuster and Fishtank from ACU.

The Basic Idea book that Comsoft6128 mentioned above (hello, Peter!) is also on my website here:

Thank you for publishing the book, Peter. It's found many more readers online over the years and it wouldn't exist without your support. Having a published book helped to open doors when I was starting out in my writing career.

Nich, I remember you telling me you'd typed in some of my programs back when we corresponded in the 90s. Your letters were the only feedback I had apart from the editor publishing the listings (or not in some cases). They were greatly appreciated, thank you.

ComSoft6128

It was my pleasure Sean.
And it's good to know that it opened doors :)
