matahari told us about bit-based background/sprite switching method used for a smooth scrolling in the game Mission Genocide. Maybe you'll be interested too. It's in Turkish, but Google Translate is your friend :)

That's a fantastic article!
Thanks for the link.
Maybe I am missing something, but this article only explains how to draw fast sprites with transparency by limiting the palette to 7 different colours, but does not explain the rupture method.

I don't see that will explain the rupture method.

Yes, my mistake. I fixed it.
Thank you for your kind notice. I was writing a very long report about a great Amstrad event we had with matahari. In the meantime, I wanted to share this before I end up forgetting it and I made the mistake you mentioned. Thanks again.
I'm sure that some of us would be very interested in reading something about Turkish Amstrad events in general...

I'm glad you liked it. Actually matahari has another article that I think is much more valuable. It's about how Speedlock copy-protection works and how to bypass it. An article so detailed may be the world's first or very rare. But, since he shows it with a ZX Spectrum(Match Day & Beach Head), I'm not sure if I'm able to send it here but since the admins are asleep I'll send it now. Enjoy it while it lasts :)

Sure, I'll share it ASAP. Actually, we did events that were focused on retro-computers long before the whole pandemic thing started. But this last one was specifically for Amstrad CPC and was in a very different environment. As an apéritif, you can check the videos of old events we hosted before I share my report. At least you can feel what the whole vibe is and how we do stuff.
