As I stated in my introduction post (https://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/general-discussion/hello-from-arnolde/ (https://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/general-discussion/hello-from-arnolde/)), I returned to the CPC after nearly 30 years of absence and I tried to make something nice during lockdown...
I think this is self-explanatory, some stuff is still missing (no saving hiscores, no music), but after the approval of Keith (chibiakumas), I thought you guys might like it as well.
Also, I have no CPC anymore so I'd be glad to know how it looks on a real CPC ;)
Have fun!
Well done! Although I am not fun of puzzle games generally, this works perfectly! Nice move, nice graphics! Of course some additions could make it more addictive (eg. stages with more time, music), but it is a very nice work!
Hey, just played the game, it's kinda fun to play. Well done
Great!
Congratulations, fabulous game!
But difficult :o
Thank You all for your nice feedback, especially to Neurox66 for the screenshot (which is a literal screen shot, as opposed to most "screenshots" these days ;) ). I'm glad the raster bars look OK on a real CRTC!
Great piece of work! Much fun and much hard. ;) :)
Time for a nice title song too. :)
Always awesome with new CPC productions!
Puzzles aren't my genre either though - don't have the brain for them. And also: Yes, all games needs music IHMO (except Spindizzy, which is perfect without music).
Shameful advertisement: Go visit www.IndieGameMusic.com (http://www.indiegamemusic.com) next time (or for a future version). :)
Very nice game , go ahead :)

This looks really nice indeed, well done!
I find the timer very stressing to be honest, even by just watching the video. Perhaps I need more caffeine in me :)
That's a very good game :D

Thank you! My aim here was, in order to (re)learn Z80 assembly thoroughly, to do everything by myself, not use any firmware routines or copy code from others. That's the simple answer why there is no music and no hiscore saving. Because these two things are quite complicated in machine code. But even with a ready-made tracker routine: My interrupt structure is very dense already (with the raster bars and the flying stars), and I don't know if there would even be processing time left for that...

Thank you for the movie!
This is awesome. I love the smooth animation of the gameplay! And the animated stars on top :)
I would definitely try to trade the rainbow on the bottom for music and SFX, if that's an option.
Looks and plays great!
Loads perfectly on CPC464 - even using direct-load on USIfAC2 (after extraction from DSK image)
Could we have an option to play using Joystick?
Thank you guys, that's some cool feedback.
Unfortunately, I'm quite busy until summer, but maybe I'll find the time to implement some of the features you requested in August...
I was quite astonished to see that this project is already redistributed on various sites such as cpcrulez.fr or indieretronews.com. On one hand, this is a great honor but on the other hand, I didn't know that that happens so quickly in this scene. But this is still under development... So, whoever you are on this forum: Thank you and I don't expect you to take it off your sites again, but please promise to also upload the final version once it's finished ;D
OK guys, 8)
I finished the new version including music, hiscores and joystick !
But before I post it in the "Games" section, I'd like to have some beta testers...
maybe Devlin?

Nice game and glad you managed to continue working on it!
It's very easy to get burnout after working on something too hard for too long! I've been absent for about 5 years after taking a "short break" when I finished my last demo, so hope you manage to find the time to do a little bit now and then on the CPC for fun!
Hello
Where I can get this game?
Thanks
Quote from: Neurox66 on 18:11, 25 May 21I have no CPC anymor
