And at 6:42, it shows how to detect what firmware you have: KL_ROM_PROBE returns 0 for a 464, 1 for a 664 and 2 for a 6128. (I assume that both Pluses have the 6128 code in their carts?)

Thanks Peter.   :D

Gryzor

The Pluses have 1.1 and Parados available - depends on the program. And @tjohnson was kind enough recently to make up a dual OS cart for me which is godsend - no more physically removing carts - just a flick of a switch.

The intro is a bit of a patch job from my memory and online sources, so if anyone has more info please add it to the post!
I definitely remember that the lack of the FG was seen as an ominous sign that Amstrad was withdrawing support from the CPC.
Possibly Amstrad planned to reissue it when the Plus machines took off in 1990 but................ :(

Parados isn't standard on the Plus though there are plenty of cart images with it available. Of course it wouldn't be that hard to make a BASIC 1.0 cart (or a 664 ROM) if needed either.

Indeed it was not standard but I've been fortunate to have a, still working, Parados cart since about 1993 that was made for me by (I think) Rob Scott of STS Software. It was essential here as all my old CPC 6128 3.5" disks for drive B were RomDos D20 format.

Cheers Rob!
