  I changed the cable and it's working now  :-* thanks a lot for your fast help 🙇

I will be making a hardware patch in an inelegant version, i.e. shorting D0-7 from high to low. If anyone knows whether the CMOS output can withstand such frequent treatment, please write something.

Quote from: robcfg on Yesterday at 18:47Isn't the DDI-1 wired to supply 5v on the floppy cable?

Could that damage the CPC?
I read this also somewhere, not sure if it is correct but as I am only using with a CPC 6128, I disconnected the internal 5V supply just in case I initially got the cable upside down. Guess I can reconnect now it is working.

I read through the SMS one as well; I quite fancy doing a SMS game sometime. Looks like it would be a piece of cake, although all access to graphics RAM having to go through the VDP is a bit of a shame. No wonder all those games that tried to do software sprites on the tile layer (like you would expect from any good British coder) had a hard time.

Looks like a nice site. It's all laid out and written very clearly.

    Next steps:
  • add enemy bullets/collision detection
  • game over splash
  • music/sfx
  • extra graphical touches and effects

After the instruction BIT n,(HL) execution, bits 3 and 5 of the flag register become containing values that are not documented in the official documentation at all.
Actually these bits are copied from the bits 11 and 13 of the internal register pair of Z80 CPU, which is used for 16-bit operations, and in most cases to handle addresses.

Sorry, after a quick look it seems like the CBM Colecovision is missing. That shall not be.
