I do know a few 40+ assholes to be honest. Also, there's no "INTERNET OFF" switch for when you're drunk or feeling down  etc etc so it's no wonder that people will sometimes will go off the rails.

It shouldn't be necessary but unfortunately a public Forum will always have the occasional member, that occasionally,  needs a wee public kick in the bum.
And they do... out the door!

Programming / Re: New cruncher ZX0

I'm struggling to make this work from BASIC. MAybe someone can help me to understand what needs to be done here.

I must admit, I still do not know assembler, so probably this is just a newbie mistake (Assembler book is alreeady here and I started to read...). I thought it should work if I add a few lines to the code, so HL and DE are properly populated. But when I call the code, I only get garbage on screen (and it returns to BASIC) or the computer halts or resets. So clearly I am missing something.

I want to store a compressed image and then decrunch it to screen memory. Decompressor starts at &4000, compressed data is at &9200, target is &c000. In memory, the data looks like I would expect it (compared with a hex editor).

These are the lines I added to the source code from github:

Code: [Select]
org $4000

ld    hl, $9200  ; source address
ld    de, $c000  ; target address
;

I call the decompressor with "call &4000" from BASIC.

To be honest, in a forum frequented by 40 and 50 somethings. Should that really be necessary?
Personal accountability.

You'd think that, wouldn't you.

Red card = a public announcement that you are being a knob/making unwelcome personal comments.

Amstrad CPC hardware / Re: Keyboard Injection extension

Hi, I was thinking about a KVM switch for CPC. It would consist of an external card driven by a microcontroller and connected to PC via serial/wifi which will inject key strokes and get out screen.
For the keys I was thinking to sniff/inject on the expansion port as @gerald mentioned it. I guess it should be done by listening to the 8255 traffic but I still need to guess how it works.

If you can  point me in the right direction I would be very pleased.

- externally as stated above (Expansion port card + cable to the joystick port)
For the video I have a naive idea, just incercepting video memory writings on adresses C000-FFFF but I have been informed that video is not always at this address.

Really? 'How he said it' ??? ??? ??? ??

So you guys can basically ban everybody at every time, right?
It's because he used the wrong sound in his voice. And you hear that from the letters?

Really? That's your strawman argument you're going to try to use to defend the guy?
VA was obnoxious, rude, arrogant, passive aggressive and in general came off as a complete dick in most of his posts, and I know I'm not the only one who thought that.

His last few posts were blatant towards Gryzor, including him TELLING HIM to either ban him or move his posts to the hall of shame.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Sorry.  ::)
