Is there a minimum to pay to ensure we get a physical edition of the game? I assume there is a cost (production + shipping) to all this for you & I certainly do not want to make you lose money in the process.

Demos / Re: CPC Demos, Music and non-C...
Last post by ZorrO - Today at 00:52
Very valid comments about the bass in AY3 and SCC in MSX.
But in my opinion, first of all, there is much more interesting music on the demoscene on each platform than in games, so comparing music from the demo scene on one platform with what we heard in games on another, the games will come out worse. The demoscene was created mainly in Europe and some platforms were never popular here like MSX or Apple2. More demos were created on 4 million CPCs than on 20 million MSXs.
IMHO Pokey is a sound system for fetishists and masochists, no normal person feels pleasure from listening to something so out of tune and farting. ;)

Despite having several Amstrad 8bit units (list in my signature), I'll always be a CPC464 guy, albeit with expansions.

Yes, it's a long chunky thing, but it'll always be my go to machine, be it the coloured tall key one, or the grey low key one. I'll even still wait a few minutes to load a game from tape these days.

(I must be going soft in my middle age!)

@prevtenet is currently working on a new C compiler for SymbOS. It is originally based on Alan Cox's C compiler for Fuzix. It's open source, so Prevtenet can fix bugs and can implement SymbOS-specific language features more cleanly. The compiler and libc are now stable enough that it can compile most of its own build chain to run natively on SymbOS (YES!).

The first sample application "Programmer's Calculator", which is 100% based on the new compiler, has been published by prevtenet some days ago:

https://www.symbos.org/appinfo.htm?00059

The C source code (included) is clean and compact, and the result is just 11K, which is not much larger than the SymbOS Pocket Calculator written 100% in Z80.

The compiler is size optimized. Most of the compiler stages use direct POSIX calls (UNIX api), which are easier to map onto SymbOS system calls.

The compiler architecture (inherited from the Fuzix original) is interesting, it basically works by progressively simplifying the code in stages until it reaches assembly, then assembling and linking it.

Quote from: HAL6128 on 14:18, 10 September 24No, the USB Floppy drive didn't start. I assume that power supply is not sufficient enough.
I don't know if there will be a possibility to power it externally?
There are Y cables for adding a power supply, but these usually have a USB micro/mini connector for the device.

I guess your 3,5" disc drive has a fixed cable with male USB A? Not sure if there are Adapters from female mini/micro to female A.
