I've moved the proposal to (French speaking) system-cfg.com forum. I propose there the PCB  with or without the 3 converters. The remaining of the bom is easy to source.

But if anyone here still wants one of those, you can contact me in PM and in English. I could probably ship in Europe for not much more than France. Other countries would be complicated, both for payements and shipping. But noone uses CPC outside of Europe, right ?

Quote from: cwpab on 21:15, 11 August 25Well that's pretty cool. There's one in Casares, province of Málaga, for only €89K that's small, but super cute and already nicely decorated and equipped. I looked for the town in Google Maps expecting a couple of shitty houses, and found a nice place with little streets and unique bridges and ramps.

And the current temperature in the town itself, outside your cave, is 31ºC max instead of the 42ºC some Spanish cities are having these days. Must be the mountains!

There's another one in Guadix, a much bigger town that reaches 37ºC these days, that none of us could buy: €450K, but it's cool to look at because it's a freaking cave mansion. It's graphic adventure material, if possible of the 1st person 2D type.
haha awesome finding, perhaps an inspiration for your next game? :D . There are plenty of places and some are really beautiful and fresher of course if nature is present and is not in crowded towns, sure is worth taking time and effort in researching,  I hope you find the right one at a fair price.

Does anyone know of a French forum or community where this could be shared? There are only 96 French backers so far, and the CPC was hugely popular in that country.

Quote from: pelrun on 15:29, 12 August 25The only difference between a monitor "delivering too few power" and one that works fine is a minor adjustment of the VR501 trimpot. It doesn't matter if your new PSU can supply 4A at 5v when the oxidised connectors and connections in the CPC immediately drop half a volt before getting to any ICs. A CPC will be far happier when fed with 5.3V, even if it's only 1A.
i noticed this too... even with a brand new (recreated) 464 board and brand new power connectors, voltage getting to the chips was always dropping half a volt or more as soon as it hit the board (using external 5v/2A wall wart..a good one!..and no access to an original monitor)... i used a bench power supply set at 1.5A (highest ive seen it pull with 3 expansions on a MX4 expansion board was only 1.2A), and then adjusted the voltage until the z80 read close to 5v on a multimeter... the voltage on the PSU and power jack was up around the 5.6v range...

you can use JavaCPC emulator to create CDTs from DSK images

iirc you cant have both serial and USB connected at the same time they both use the same port on the pic, easiest thing to do is just pull the power pin from the serial adapter to the ULiFAC before rebooting and then reconnect it once youve loaded the terminal..(or put in a switch)

Yeah, kind of impossible, but I would hope they would release it anyhow?

Sadly we are £500K away from the CPC Core. In just five days, it's a longshot :/
