Thanks for making Roland Radio and for giving it a thorough polish for 2020!

One thing which annoys me when voting is that the page is always reloaded after the voting was recorded.
There's that new web tech called AJAX, where you can re-load parts of a document using XMLHttpRequest objects ;-)
** My SID player/tracker AYAY Kaeppttn! on github **  Some CPC music and experiments ** Other music ** More music on scenestream (former nectarine) ** Some shaders ** Some Soundtrakker tunes ** Some tunes in Javascript

My hardware: ** Schneider CPC 464 with colour screen, 64k extension, 3" and 5,25 drives and more ** Amstrad CPC 6128 with M4 board, GreaseWeazle.

Is there a general-feedback-to-RR topic somewhere? Anyway, unless I know where that is, I will post my comments here.
Just noticed, that things like in-game jingles are also online. Do you really want to keep those? For example

https://rolandradio.net/titles/13427

I would strongly suggest that you just keep real tunes, even short ones, but no sound-effects. Not only because
they don't belong into the category "musical piece", but also because I think that this would make a rather annoying
listening experience to be drowned in jingles (in the long run, when more stuff gets added)

I know this is an issue that has been with me for some time. I use Laravel and in it Livewire to reload parts from the website. Unfortunately I only started programming again in March 2020 and my level of knowledge is that of a Dark Sector, if you understand what I mean. It's my turn, but I have many open issues at the moment. I appreciate the hints!

We have already discussed this with @Targhan and in his opinion jingles are also part of the musical output of an Amstrad CPC. And since Targhan is the measure of all things in terms of music on the CPC: who would I be to oppose that. And this is how you should handle it :-)

This is my fault on this one, but I thought it was still musical and fun. There are only a few "music" that are below a few seconds. Since they are likely to be voted down, I guess you won't hear them much. I still think they have their place on the radio.

Actually what bothers me more are the Radio jingle ("Hello this is ... and you're listening to...) which I think happen too often.

Oh no please don't say things like that: I'll be hated for that!! :)
But if more than one people think these very small jingles are annoying, feel free to remove them. This is your radio, not mine. Really, I normally never record such small jingles. BSC just stumbled on these, bad luck for me.

Buuuuuuh! I like those very much! But as i am reworking on the hourly-plan i may change the amount of them. At the moment every 6 to 8th title a jingle is played :-)

I do too! They just happen a bit too often to my taste, just like ads on a commercial radio :).

Well, I don't know who you really are, but I oppose strongly because I count myself a measure of things concerning music on the CPC. I have done my bits here and there :D
So I still think those effects and other blips don't belong.

PS: I hate Targhan! ;-)

As we all do. That's a nice tradition in the Amstrad CPC scene We should try to keep this up. This makes us different from other retro computer scenes.

I only said that so that his prediction in an earlier post became true. Mission accomplished :-)

Regarding Echo-Man I was always (not) wondering, who of the huge team behind RR *you* actually were,
because everything there is always about Kangaroo

I do the coding, the databases, the playout system, the automation, the things needed to be done (at the moment i do screenshots and check dsk-files)
But Targhan sends music, reports false title informations, as many others also do. Any help in any possible way is appreciated. TotO reports files also. gschizas sends screenshots of games and discusses new ideas on the RolandRadio Telegram group chat. Others join The Amstrad Pub. People upload new music on the ftp-server, comment on the website or rate titles.

I am very happy that the scene is involved in this little project since 2015 and i now have the time to work on a daily base on the system.
