Is there any CPC program available which lets you mask bad sectors in the file allocation table? I've got a bunch of 3" floppies which I'm just copying some utilities on, but want to skip around the bad sectors.

Some of the disk just have bad sectors around tracks 38-39 or random tracks in the middle. FYI I've checked them under the scope for mould, cleaned with IPA and reformatted/verified out with greaseweazel and HxCFloppyEmulator

Ideally the method would be to scan and list the bad sectors then tag those against a hidden file. At least make the discs are somewhat usable

Thanks for the responses. Will check out Mark Error and Multimark

I have always used Multi Mark, which is newer.
Both programs are by the same author.

Yeah I've burned that one to ROM and run through my disks. I managed to pick up some for give away but some have sides with bad sectors. Amsoft were the most reliable, and the blank no name ones tended to be throw away

I have used Diskrepair in the past to mark bad sectors. It's a type-in listing that was published in the German magazine PC Amstrad International, although bizarrely, you have to use a joystick to select the options on the menu!
