Hi all, I know I asked this in the past, Particularly @arnoldemu, but would it be possible to enhance his NoCart tool to support ParaDOS not AmsDOS and therefore 80track single sided discs?

I have created a couple of multi game Parados80 (single sided 80 track) discs and would love to convert these from a disc to a cart image so I can finally release them.

Since Kev is, as we all are, incredibly busy has anyone else thought of making a new NoCart tool to allow for more formats and thus more storage space.

Thanks Everyone!

I looked into this just recently too. NoCart patches AMSDOS in plenty of areas. The same would need to be done for Parados, in a different way and different areas. And Parados would still only support 360K of the maximum available 464K.

I was thinking that it could be an option to create a new disk format, that fits perfectly into the remaining 464KB and patch AMSDOS to support it. The B360K utility could give some hints how to do that (https://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/applications/b360k/msg197805/#msg197805). Of course also the sector-to-address calculation of the AMSDOS patch needs to be adjusted, but I guess it's doable.

There is hope then! My Dizzy Adventures Compilation has a menu, with Music and an easter-egg in it. It is probably the most impressive thing I have ever done with Basic. and it's a shame that it only exists on a 3.5inch floppy. I've also done a spinoff with the Arcade Dizzy Games. that too has music and a graphical menu. Both use Parados80 Disc format, the Adventures one uses 386k in total and the Arcades, 330k
