A couple of the early mode 1 slideshows I've looked at recently were made for greens screen monitors.

Is there a palette adjustment that would allow a colour monitor to mimic a green screen?

Did you try?
ink 0,0:ink 1,9:ink 2,18:ink 3,25
The brightest isn't very greenish, but when using
ink 0,0:ink 1,9:ink 2,18:ink 3,22
pen 2 and 3 are very close to each other.
