First, sorry if this post isn't in the right thread (if it isn't, I'd ask moderators to put it where it belongs).
I tried to search various CPC related sites for software that could use more than 128KB of RAM, but I was unable to find anything besides FutureOS and Symbos (not that they aren't great - they are fantastic!). The reason is that I'm in the process of obtaining a 512K memory expansion for my 6128 (ROAM Board), and I would like to try everything that could use extra RAM.
So, my question is, do you know any other software, demo or game that can benefit from extra ram (besides FutureOS and Symbos), or exclusively works with extra RAM (extra meaning more than stock 128K)? If something like this was already asked, and the answer exists, sorry for asking again...

Alyssa Database

Discology 6
Hackit ROM
The JL-Copy suite of utilities (http://www.cpc-power.com/index.php?page=detail&num=5268) includes a file and disc copier which can make use of 256K of RAM.
Thank you for the answers! I'll try to find all that software.

From the may 89 issue of Amstrad Action, page 26:
STOCK CONTROL
£15 CPM+ (requires Protext) Thompson Computers.
"The second quibble is that, because it is running under the Promerge part of CP/M+ Protext and has to read certain routines and files from the disk, the routine is slow. On balance the speed (or lack of it) must be considered as an acceptable trade-off against flexibility, but one way to get around this problem is to have a Ram/Dk'Tronicks' 256K Silicon Disk set up as drive C: (or B: for you cheapskates who haven't yet purchased a second drive) under CP/M+ giving 444K disc space. Load CP/M- Protext and Stock Control onto the same Silly Disk, run the application under Protext and it then scoots along as fast as Paul Channon escaping from a press conference."

You can get ChibiAkumas Episode 2 here:

with 256k there's only 1 load during the cutscenes, and the last boss battle has large sprite animation, and pre-rendered 3d backgrounds... a total of 21 full-screen frames of animation if I remember correctly!

That's an excellent hardware configuration! :) The installer supports the M4 ROM expansion, everything shall be very easy. If you need further assistance or you would like a personalized version (your favorite colors etc...), then please PM me. :) Downloads can be found there...
