Apologies for the noob question.  I've picked up a 464 Plus today that was thrown in as an afterthought as part of a wider bundle with some Atari STs.  The unit is bare with no leads and I'd prefer not to start investing in cables for a system that could be beyond repair.  I already own a 464 and CTM644 monitor - are there any conversion kits so I can using the existing hardware that I own to test the 464 Plus unit?

All you need is a simple adapter cable with a 6-pin female DIN on one end and an 8-pin male DIN on the other, wired using the pinouts from https://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/Connector:Monitor . It should also take the 5V power from the monitor as well, although you might need a 2.1->2.5 DC jack adapter in between. I'm using this setup with a GX4000 and it works perfectly.

Thanks pelrun.  Does anyone offer these for sale before I try not to burn my house down with the cheap soldering iron that I have?

What about amps?
Is this monitor capable of delivering what the plus model needs?

Not an issue. The power requirements are similar and the CTM has lots of overhead.
