Blank screen on my 6128

I have used my 6128 with a 8200 converter connected to flat screen.
But yesterday the screen went black.
When I power on the converter I got chinese sign which dissapears, notting happens when I press the Menu button.


Today I made SCART connection and tried the 6128 on my wide screen TV.
When I turn on the CPC the picture is ok before it looks like in this picture:



Is this  normal or is there a fault in my 6128?

Your CPC is most likely fine. The tearing you see there is caused by the converter or TV not being happy with the levels of the Sync signal.

The one you were using (The 8200) isn't bad usually, but yours seems to have failed for some reason.
