Title: CPC464 LCD vertical screen flicker
Post by: pledg on 20:36, 04 January 21
Hi,
I have a strange issue with my second restored CPC464. Using the same combined scart and power lead I use on my other 464 which has a rock solid picture, I'm getting what looks like a vertical flicker of a just a few pixels. It only shows itself on the blue basic screens. If I load a game the picture's fine and stable. If I connect to my green screen monitor picture is also fine. Just wondering whether they're could be another resistor somewhere giving out.
The main fix to get the CPC back up and running was replacement RAM and replacement of resistors R101 and R111.
Thanks in advance.

Probably dry joints on the monitor socket or the pins in the socket need to be cleaned.
