DDI-1 possible motor failure?

Hi,


I've got a DDI-1 that when powered up the green light comes on (tick) but when I insert a disc the red indicator light doesn't come on and the unit doesn't make a noise. I'm fairly sure the connectors to the CPC are ok because when I type a disk command such as |DIR I get an error such as Drive A: Disc missing, and I don't get this when the disk drive isn't turned on.


Anyway....sounds like the motor has gone...? Anyone have any thoughts on an easy repair?
