MP-1 Module Repair?

Hello,
Because I like to collect various CPC items I took a punt on an MP-1 power module on Ebay and whilst it powers up the colours are washed out and in various shades of green. I was just wondering with everyones experience on here if this sounds like it could be repairable?

I hate to be the one to break the bad news to you, but washed out and questionable colours describes a fully working MP-1

Ok, the colours should be close, but the picture was always washed out and rather blurred. If the picture is only green, then there's probably a break in the monitor cable or the contacts in the monitor connector need to be cleaned.
