PCW 8512 Screen Issue
« on: 23:07, 20 June 17 »
Hi all

New to the forum.I'm hoping you guys/girls can help me with a problem I'm having with my PCW 8512.

The top section of the screen seems to be tilting to one side. Any ideas why this is happening?

gwionm,

A picture always helps to know what the problem you describe.

I looks like the CRT gun has lost the ability to scan left to right correctly at the top of the screen.

When the PCW is booted up in CP/M, does the text appear skewed as well? (i assume it does boot up).

If it fails the boot up then there may be a power supply issue since the CRT screen does draw quite an amount of current.

It's really odd I've not used it for a few weeks and now it seems to be working ok.

Thank you for your help
