Hi there i acquired a Amstrad cpc 464 and when the volume is on even at the main screen there is a static and crackle noise from the speaker....gets louder with volume turned up, does this even when game as on but sometimes depending on the sound and music in games you can not hear it as much if volume is low
Anyone any ideas what this could be..i am not that technically minded by the way lol
That's entirely to be expected, the audio path isn't well shielded and picks up lots of digital signal noise.
oh ok, only asked as the only i had to sell last year did not have it at all
