A number of peripherals connect to the joystick/printer ports, and so, they do not include "own" I/O addresses. This includes hardware ''other than joysticks/printers'' - for example, mice, robots, audio devices, and simple network adapters. Aside from I/O addresses, there are some other important I/O signals, for example: [[NMI]] or [[External Interrupt|INT]].
