"Another great arcade conversion by Elite! Now as with other coin-ops convos they did - its not the pinnacle of gaming excellence or indeed a perfect port, but it's highly enjoyable and really captures the spirit of the original. The C64 version is overall a better game, but for once and a rarity the humble AY chip music composed by the brilliant David Whittaker (who else!) completely blows away the C64's SID chip tune! Possibly the best music on any CPC game!! Not only that, but it perfectly captures the creepy undead atmosphere of the game, so much so that as a young lad it scared the bejeesus out of me! In fact, if it wasn't for the music we might not view this game so highly... A crying shame is the omission of the 'running around in your pants' when you first get hit in your suit of armour instead you just die and lose a life. Definitely a critical feature that is badly missing. Also its another flip-screen scroll (BAH!!) however it doesn't cause silly deaths unlike the infamous CPC port of Green Beret. Otherwise, its still good fun and as a big fan of the arcade original (therefore more critical) I came away reasonably happy with the CPC version."

"A bad conversion which is a real shame as it was so cool to play at the arcades - Elite werent that good at arcade conversions on cpc but they did do a decent job with Bomb Jack. GnG on cpc is ok but lacks quality gameplay and sprites - it just could have been soooo much better. "

"Heheh, a mystery one, this; it`s a bad conversion with silly chynky graphics, and yet it`s captivating! Now, if I could only get past that windy level..."

"What a complete balls up G'n'G turned out to be on the CPC... no scrolling, aweful graphics, only three levels and to top things off, Arthur's armour doesn't even fall off after being hit. A special conversion, by special people. "
