"I have always been a fan of Golden Axe, and the CPC version is a great conversion! Definitly one of the better CPC arcade conversions out there, and a game you need to visit!"

"By far the best conversion of the game is on the cpc. A real treat to play - Lots of colour, cool gameplay, lovely little sounds and some fantastic bad guys to hack at. You`ll love the end of game sequence tooo well worth completing this game - go have some fun with this one "

"A surprisingly good conversion! Great graphics and ok sound, retains most of the arcade action, quite amazing for a 64k program... "

"Played the MegaDrive conversion to death... the CPC version is crap in comparison. Blocky graphics with small sprites and the moves are too difficult to pull off (play the the Sega version to see what I mean). The presentation and music though are something else, and the effort put into the final sequence screen is second to none. A game that has sadly been crippled by its poor controls. "
