Be brave and fearless as you climb your way through the numerous levels but BEWARE......

Being the intrepid Roland, you are able to jump over the rats to escape them, and to defend yourself you can shoot at the mummies, skeletons or vampires, inevitably killing them. But shooting the ghosts merely frightens them away and there is no escape from them. Your only means of gaining strength is by collecting the vases full of Life Elixir hidden an the tomb floors or accumulating more bullets.

Be on your guard as chameleons dart up and down the walls next to your rope. You can pass them without losing strength if you climb the rope on the opposite side, but the cunning chameleons can change sides!

"way back when i was 4, i played this more than any other Amstrad game. It must have been the colourfull graphics, or maybe I was hypnotised by the sound effects. Still like it today."

Ritchardo mkII says

"One of my first games and I loved it! Sure the graphics flicker but they look gorgeous. Nice bright and colourful, the way computer games should look dang-nammit! It`s a super simplistic game and one I keep coming back to. Roland`s best effort by far!"

Briggsy says

"I loved this game, and played it to death. The best version of Fred by far, despite the slightly dodgy scrolling. Whilst not an amazing game it`s playable and colourful and a fondly remembered game for most CPC users."

"Re-release of Fred by Indescomp S.A., originally released in 1983"
