It?s another action adventure outing for our hero Bob Morane, this time you?re stuck in the jungle with all sorts of things trying to kill you. From killer spiders to nutty men and women with big swords you?re going to want to get your mission complete and find a quick way out of there while you still can.
Yeah, we don?t have the original story for this one but we?re betting that it?s not far off the mark.

Graphics

The graphics in Jungle 1 are much the same as the previous Bob Morane outings. Infogrames use much the same engine which involves a playing area in the center of the screen (fairly large we might add), info panels in the bottom corner and of course the obligatory image of Bob himself on the left. Colours are pretty nice and animations are pretty much spot in Jungle 1. There are plenty of enemies to battle along your journey and some great scenery to take in as you walk about the caves and wooded areas.
Considering that the title didn?t do that well in the UK it would appear that Infogrames have put a fairly nice amount of effort into the production of the Bob series.

Sound

Sound is pretty impressive also, there is a distinct lack of music in the Bob Morane series but the in-game effects more than make up for it. You?ll hear birds tweeting, wind creaking through the trees and plenty of suspense in both the woods and the caves themselves.

Gameplay

Now, we didn?t have the original manual for this game and therefore couldn?t exactly figure out what the idea of the game was. If you?ve never played the series before then you?ll probably be bored quickly as all you seem to do is walk about the place looking for something to beat up and to be honest there isn?t that much you can beat up.
There are no serious problems with the graphics or control system so nothing should stop fans of the series enjoying the sequels, providing you have once owned the original game and know the full story then we are pretty sure that Bob Morane : Jungle 1 could be a very entertaining game indeedy.
