Builderland

Builderland is one heck of an original puzzle game from Loriciel, invented long before the arrival of the now classic Lemmings series by Psygnosis this can easily be seen as an early version. Guide your character from one side of the level to the other by using the building tools scattered about the level to ensure he arrives home safely.

Graphics

The first thing I thought of when looking at the very start of Builderland was the arcade classic "Rainbow Islands" which has also recieved rave reviews here at CPC Zone. Colours are jaw droppingly nice and would not look out of place in one of the early Mario games, levels are designed very nicely indeed and the game itself runs at such a frantic pace you will need to move about the place faster than any of the Lemmings series.

There is a huge variety of pitfalls and traps to guide your character over with the building tools on offer and like we said you had better be quick otherwise you?ll find yourself at the start of the game again. Superb.

Sound

Sound is again on top form with some excellent introduction music at the start of the game which quickly sets the mood before the game loads and you are forced into action. While you might not expect much sound from a game like this we can tell you that there is well and truly enough to keep you interested and it isn?t something you will want to play with the sound down.

Gameplay

Gameplay is of course great, you simply have to get your character from one end of the screen to the other but you will also need to be bloody quick when moving that cursor, picking up objects and putting them in place. It?s also worth noting that you can pick up more than on item and place then in a safe area one at a time by using your inventory so although it might seem hard at first it does become easier.

If you are a fan of the Lemmings series by Psynosis then we can highly and we do mean highly recommend this game.
