Dizzy returns once again to defeat the evil wizard Zaks and those nasty ghoulies and beasties that work under his power this time in Magicland, a world only slightly different to Dizzy?s own village.

The evil wizard Zaks is once again up to his old tricks and has captured your family (the yolkfolk) and scattered them around your village, which by the way isn?t quite as you remembered it to be. You now have giant spiders, ogres, trolls and ghosts to deal with as well as helping out your family who are all in a very tricky situation. The good news is that Zaks has left diamonds scattered everywere (probably after a robbery) and you can make some extra cash for your family if you chose to pick them up.

Dizzy has never lost it?s appeal since the original was released way back in 1990 and each sequel has had a better and more entertaining story line, some of the jokes in this one make it worth playing just to read them.

Graphics

Codemasters release another adventure game starring Dizzy and his family and yet again he has landed himself in a great deal of trouble. The evil wizard Zaks has also made a come back in this adventure so I guess Rockwart the troll is on vacation, or maybe he makes an appearance in the game somewere along the line.

The graphics are yet again brilliant and all of the ingame enemies have been drawn very well indeed, the colours are still a little dull though and Codemasters still insist on over using the red colours. We also noticed in this adventure our hero disappears on certain backgrounds which of course makes him almost impossible to see, this time Codemasters can?t blame it on the age of the title.

Sound

Sound is again a big disappointment as all we are treated to is a groovy music track to dance along to, this all gets a little irritating after a few minutes of play though and you will soon find yourself reaching for the volume control. Honestly you?ld think that Codemasters would learn by the mistakes they make wouldn?t you?

Gameplay

Gameplay is exactly the same as in the other Dizzy adventures, pick items up and take them to the place you think you need to use them then drop them. The controls are just as problematic as ever because Dizzy insists on jumping that little bit further than your average egg and 9 times out of 10 ends up in the pond. Not a problem with this game but with all the Dizzy adventures in general.
