If you don?t know who Road Runner and Wile E Coyote are then perhaps you should do a search on comics, you?ll almost certainly find some information although I honestly cannot believe that anyone visiting this site would not know who they are.

There antics continue into this computer game, not the first or last cartoon to be turned into a home computer game and aimed soley at the kids either - sadly. You take on the role of Road Runner in this game and have to quickly dodge and run away from the coyote as he tries with all his might and Acme creations to track you down and take you home for dinner. The tracks are scattered with your favourite food also (laid out by Mr Coyote) and in order to complete the level you must try and pick up as much seed as you can before Wile E catches you.

It?s not the most entertaining game in the world but I guess its creators probably thought it would keep the kids entertained for a few hours, more like minutes I?d say.

Graphics

Road Runner is just your average game but starring your favourite childhood cartoon characters, all that?s involved in the game is that you must run away from and dodge the bad guy at all costs.

The graphics are pretty well drawn though and some imagination has gone into the gadgets that the coyote comes at you with, the rocket and rocket shoes for example and lets not forget the "This Way" signs that are obviously a trap laid out by the coyote. The design of the levels is pretty good and it looks like a cartoon, which is what I?m sure it?s creators wanted you to think, a good use of the available colours has gone into the design al the way through.

Sound

Sound is not so good, we don?t even get a bit of welcome music at the start of the game or any noises that represent the "beep, beep!" noises Road Runner makes in the cartoons. There are plenty of other sounds though even though they can seem a little scratchy at times, be thankful you have sound though because some of the game that deserved it didn?t get anything.

Gameplay

Gameplay is aimed at the young and the young at heart, there is nothing difficult about the game what so ever and certainly not enough to give anyone a challenge. Just run in one direction and pick up the seed as you go, remember to move up or down in order to dodge the coyote and you?ve cracked it. The game does get harder as it goes along but still nothing that will have you beating the crap out of your keyboard.
