First of all, the following text is taken from the intro to the game - we do not have anything against people from Switzerland and Italy.

Within the next seven years, a world war greater than all world wars will take place. A war so great even the Swiss will get involved this time, a war so terrible that the italians have already surrendered. One leader will emerge from this war to rule the world.

It is your task to stop this leader and save the world. These are the other six challengers for world power... and at this point the game loads and you can choose from the six most powerful people in the world at the time this game was created, including Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan.

Under the watchful eyes of the Queen of England you must prove your power to her before she declares you the winner of the match, this is one of the most frustrating beat-em-up games ever to be created for the Amstrad CPC and many other formats.

Graphics

Oh dear, the worst comedy series in the world has been converted from the TV screen to your computer monitor in this the first and last computer game of the same name. I seriously hated the series because it made me cringe everytime I looked at those rubber faced idiotic look-a-like puppets and listened to the crap jokes they blurted out. I?m sorry to say the game isn?t much better.

The graphics are very well drawn, a good use of colour has been made and imagination has been used to create the fighters and sidekicks that come out of the side to help you. It all looks very nice and some of the moves you can do to defeat your player are very funny indeed, if a little crude for some people.

Sound

Sound is great also, we get the theme from the TV series at the start of the game/character selection screen and plenty of in-game noises during the fights. You couldn?t ask for a more active soundtrack in a game like this one, honestly.

Gameplay

Gameplay is were the game falls down. You take on the role of any of the six leaders and battle with an opponent of your choice (or play the 2 player mode) but the controls are horrible, the combat moves you can make against your opponent are less than impressive (punch, kick, punch, jump) and the fact that the fight isn?t over until the Queen says so is just bloody stupid. This is one beat-em-up I would avoid like the plague, it?s simply not worth any amount of money and is only for the die-hard fans of poor slapstick humour.
