Loriciels are back again with another platform adventure, this time you take on the role of Charly Diams in this colourful and nicely detailed adventure platformer. Stroll the landscapes, avoid the farmers (they have guns you know) and stay alive. Sounds easier than it is, trust us!

Graphics

Charly Diams is a very colourful game indeed, Loriciels are very good at producing games of this graphical standard with plenty of detail scattered about the various stages of the game. Each character looks unique and every screen offers something different from the last, in this game you really get the feeling that you cannot tell what is around the next corner. Animation is a little bit of a let down though as our hero often does not want to do what the player tells him too and in other cases jumps a little too far or too short of the mark.

Sound

Sound is pretty nice though, we are treated to a fairy tale like introduction track which unfortunately loops over to the game itself. The good thing is that the in-game sounds are not disrupted by the music but the annoying thing is that what once sounded quite pleasing has now become nothing short of an irritation.

Gameplay

Charly Diams is one of those games that requires the manual before you truly know what you are doing. The control system is a little bit of a nightmare at times as you try to jump right you have to do some nifty joystick work without jumping left and falling off the edge of the screen.

This game would certainly be an easy one and much more playable if the control system was fixed but sadly it?s a little too late for this to be addressed, Loriciels are known for some great games but this one is slightly short of the mark.
