Meet the latest super-hero, or attempted super-hero Captain Sevilla. The basic idea of this game goes along the lines of every other game starring a hero and villain, overcome the obstacles and find the evil guys hidden head quarters. Please note that this game is also known as simply Captain S.

Graphics

Its hard to rate this one because there is a good use of colours on offer throughout the various stages of the game and a fair amount of detail has gone into the smaller items on the screen.

However there are major downsides to this, the jump animation follows the annoying "moon-jump" standard, meaning you will jump about 6 foot in the air before landing, slowly. Theres also an amount of slow-down in various stages of the game and it is often very difficult to see our hero as he walks in front of various backgrounds (glass windows for example).

Sound

Sound is reasonable though nothing special, we are not given any introduction music at the front of the game nor during the game itself. Sound effects are very limited with just two or three noises being emitted from your CPC speaker, the most notable is when you loose a life and a falling bass noise is sounded. Should have been so much better.

Gameplay

As platformers go this is certainly not one of the best. Jumping about the stages soon becomes annoying as it is often hard to time when to jump over certain objects, the reason? moon-jumping. This is a phenomenon that comes into play in many low-budget games and allows our character to jump massive heights and slowly land back on the ground - irritating to say the least.

It doesn?t play at a very fast pace either and is very easy to loose those 3 lives you are given to complete the game with. Certainly not suitable for those with bad tempers and not something that can simply be loaded and played.

Not great at all.
