The object of the game is to place pieces so that they form a row of four. The row may be in any direction, may cross the planes to produce a row which for example goes from the bottom right corner to the top left corner.
When playing against the computer you will be pitting against extreme logic and your human brain.
Graphics
Now not a lot of graphical power is realy required for what is essentialy an advanced version of the classic "Tic-Tac-Toe" game and that is exactly what Mr.Micro have gone for. Limiting the game to a handful of colours and producing a fairly basic 3 tier 3D playing ground with just a flat cursor to place your pieces.
Not a lot is required and not a lot has been used, you can?t find much to complain about in this one.
Sound
Sound has once again been kept to the minimum, released a good few years before CPC games realy kicked off this can be expected and Mr.Micro did kind of make up for the lack of music with the occasional sound in the game itself. Its not award winning but be thankful something exists.
Gameplay
As we stated in the introduction and our graphic comments this is simply a 3D computer version of the classic Tic-Tac-Toe games in which you simply build a row of 4 coloured blocks before the CPC or a second player can block you from doing just that. The first person to get a row wins the game.
Playing against the CPC is hard at first but the advanced logic system Mr.Micro mentioned on the inlay can easily be defeated once you learn the pattern. This is a game that should be played with two human players because lets be honest, most two player games are not much fun against the machine.
All in all this isn?t a bad puzzler, not as addictive as some others we have come across but not bad none the less.
