Cylu

Greetings Cylu, Warrior King, to the land of Evol. Our people need a new leader to make us great again. He must be agile, and show that he is wise and strong, and so we have devised a test. If you pass, you will prove that you are worth but if you fail...
Graphics
Cylu is a 3D adventure title similar to Batman and Head Over Heels, sadly it is not quite as good as either title for various reasons.
The graphics on offer in Cylu are very basic though in some rooms of the maze a little detailed. You also get to see very little of any part of the whopping great game at any one time and it can be extremely difficult to point out Cylu in any one room, for proof of this simply look at the screen grabs at the bottom of this review.
The speed and animation of the game is often fast but when you have trouble seeing what is going on, is there any point?
Sound
Sound is reasonable though once again nothing to write home about. Sounds in the game itself are pretty active when roaming about the maze but not quite as good as other 3D adventures we have come across and nowhere near the same standard.
Gameplay
Gameplay can be frustrating for a number of reasons. It is often hard to see what you are doing or where you are going due to poor colours and an extremely small playing area, the fuel meter falls far to fast and there is almost no chance of completing the game before it reaches zero in the first place and the control system is far from being perfect.
Sadly, though Firebird released some cracking titles for the CPC this is one that falls short by a very large margin and should have been so much better.
