An Alien life form has been discovered, you (Ripley) and your team head off to gain more research on this species. After one of your crew is attacked by a face hugging alien and another has an alien dose of indigestion it?s obvious that the life form means business and soon becomes a threat to your entire team.

It?s another blockbuster movie to video game conversion but it doesn?t mean it?s a bad game? does it?

Graphics

Considering this game isn?t the action packed shoot-em-up you would expect the graphics aren?t 100% bad. Taking on a top-down map style approach there isn?t much in terms of graphics than could be considered a fault, neither is there anything to be considered a plus. As to be expected there isn?t much colour on show and everything has that basic feel to it.

Sound

The sound system on the other hand is very active with a nice introduction style piece of music and plenty of noises in the game (all of them mean a different thing so please refer to the introduction section of the game before playing).

Gameplay

Alien is NOT the kind of game you would expect from such an action packed movie, instead of blasting aliens and walking through infested corridors you will find yourself in control of 7 men and women using strategic elements to move and control the aliens onboard. Fans of the movie and fans of RTS style games should be well in their element with this style of movie licensed gaming but for those of us that like blasting the arms and legs of freaky aliens you might not be so impressed.

The game could have been made better if it was released in a beat/shoot-em-up style of gameplay but then that?s only the opinion of the staff at CPC Zone. Try it and see is the only real advice for this title.
