Graphics
The graphics in this game are very well done. Ocean certainly took advantage of the hardware scrolling in the Plus range. The spirites are well drawn with an excellent use of colour, again... thanks to the "new" hardware. Everything moves very smoothly, which of course is a huge bonus for an action game.
Sound
I was very pleased that Ocean put the RoboCop theme in this game. Its only only the title screen, but still welcome. The in-game music is all well written, and gladly so, as there are no sounds effects at all. This might seem to be a major issue at first, but once the game gets going its not missed too much.
Gameplay
RoboCop 2 is a fun game to play, but can be quite fustrating at times. Falling down the same hole in the floor for the umpteenth time is a little irritating. Most of RoboCop 2 is presented as a platform game. These levels are more of an assault course than a setting for a shooter, as RoboCop doesnt have to shoot much... just a lot of jumping. There is also a first-person shooting gallery, an idea obviously taken from the arcade of the original RoboCop. Some clever puzzle levels are also included to give the game variety. All in all though, RoboCop 2is a game which Ive been playing now and again since it was released, and I enjoy it every time.
