20000 Lieves Sour Le Mer (yeah you guessed it, another foreign language CPC game reviewed) as is the usual case with games like this we haven?t go an actual story line for this game but we do know that it takes place at sea and you as the new crew member get to interact and meet some very interesting people along your travels.
Here comes the basic review.

Graphics

20000 Lieves Sour Le Mer is a point and click adventure game for the Amstrad CPC range of computers (something of a rarity at that time) and as you may have guessed it wasn?t released in the UK and is not written in English.
The graphics are very rich and well drawn though a high usage of brown and yellow can be distracting as your eyes try to work out what?s going on in the current scene and you often struggle to pick out people from the objects. This is demonstrated in our screen grabs below. Like I said earlier this kind of game was a rare item on the CPC and as such probably sold well despite the graphical problems.

Sound

The sound is very quiet, in fact during the time we played this game we hardly heard a single bleep from the speakers. Not a bad thing in this kind of game as you are mostly concentrating on what to do next and looped music can often be distracting.

Gameplay

Gameplay is only really present if you happen to speak the language, most English speaking people will have problems playing this title as it is not written in English. Point and click games involve a lot of reading and if you cant make out the conversations between characters its very pointless even trying to progress in the game.
