Flex your brain muscle and turn back your thinking cap by fourteen years to take on Zeppelin?s Arcade Trivia Quiz and earn yourself some big cash prizes.
Graphics
The three characters that inhabit the game are well animated and are good drawings. A nice touch is the smirk that the other two players get when you get a question wrong.
The loading screen is very colourful and bright.
Sound
A jolly ditty accompanies the player through the title screen and into the game proper. The game is littered with spot effects and sounds that translate well and do their job.
Gameplay
The quiz element is well structured and the questions do scale in difficulty as you progress through the game. The main problem with the questions though are those that probably werent that difficult at the time have taken on an extra complexity, fourteen years later. There are a number of instances when youll find yourself answering a question wrong because it wasn`t correct at the time (A good example of this is when I answered that five people had played James Bond when at the time the game was written there had been only four!)
There are a number of spelling mistakes as well that can prove critical in a game where general knowledge is valued above all else. The gambling element is also neutered by the inability to get any real cash (obviously!) and this means that you can never actually win the game (because nobody is going to walk away surely!)
As is the nature of quiz games, you either like them or you dont but while Arcade Trivia Quiz isnt the most innovative of the bunch, it`s certainly not a bad title either.
