Q10 Tank Buster

Take to the skies in one of historyâ??s most famous planes, the Q10 Tank Buster as you look to wrestle your occupied country from the clutches of an evil army in this arcade style shoot-em up from the same team that brought us F1 Tornado Simulator.
Graphics
Like itâ??s F1 Tornado predecessor, Q10 boasts some nice backgrounds and builds upon the well animated planes, adding a plethora of tanks, gun placements and other hazards to deal with. Once again, the level of detail employed is excellent for a title that would have originally set you back only £3.99. The game certainly looks good and, for an arcade shoot em-up, you couldnâ??t ask for much more.
A nice addition to Q10 is a digitised thumbs up picture from your pilot to accompany the end of level music. Doesnâ??t add to gameplay at all but itâ??s a nice picture all the same.
One drawback to the game, and one that also featured in F1 Tornado is that the graphics are somewhat contradictory in that time has been spent to make the planes move semi-realistically and yet the bullets that they fire are little more than orange or red pixels. Once again I concede that this makes them easier to see but still has an adverse effect on the overall graphical feel. A missed opportunity for improvement.
Sound
Restricted to gunshots and a little jingle at the end of each level. The sonics are far from inspiring.
Gameplay
Much like F1 Tornado, Q10 offers plenty of short term fun but doesnâ??t have much depth to keep you coming back. Although highly simplistic in design and gameplay, Q10 differs from F1 in terms of its difficulty level. While F1 was easy to master and a little on the easy side, Q10 has had its difficulty knob cranked up and even the most experienced of arcade shoot-em-up pilots will find themselves struggling to overcome the odds.
The difficulty shouldnâ??t put you off and youâ??ll find yourself trying to push your way on to the final levels and conquer the game once and for all.
More of an addition to F1 Tornado Simulator rather than a whole new game on itâ??s own right, if you had the earlier title and were thinking of buying Q10, Iâ??d tell you to leave it but if youâ??re just downloading another shooter then Iâ??d say go for it.
