Revenge is the motive in this, the first sequel to Renegade. Your brother has been murdered whilst investigating the affairs of the notorious Mr Big. You have taken it upon yourself to avenge his death by taking out hordes of his henchmen and ultimately the big man himself â?? over 5 action packed levels with weapons and a two-player mode!

Graphics

The graphics are nice but a little less vibrant than the original Renegade and gave me a slight impression of being scaled down. Perhaps this was because of the addition of a simultaneous two-player mode taking up more of the CPCâ??s capabilities.

Sound

Pretty good actually, the title screen/end level music is very good, as is the case with most of the in-game music, except for level 3, the one in the park. Sound effects are functional but nothing spectacular.

Gameplay

The inclusion of the simultaneous two-player mode is a great touch, as is the use of weaponry. The control method has been streamlined to make it more friendly for the player with only one fire button, anyone who has played the original game will remember that it had specific keys for punch/kick etc which I quite liked but this way is good too. Itâ??s also necessary for the two-player mode and all the moves of the original are present and correct. The difficulty level is quite harsh on later levels and there is no end sequence â??rewardâ?? for the player but this is still a top title that was released under the Imagine banner.
