Amo Del Mundo

Another good looking game that has been coded in another language that we don?t have a clue about (storywise) hit?s the review shelves of CPC Zone. All we can tell you about this game is that our hero is trapped on a strange planet full of alien creatures and robots that are set on destroying him, there are many items scattered about the surface that must be recovered and above all else - you must survive.
Graphics
Amo Del Mundo contains graphics that certainly wouldn?t look out of place on a ZX Spectrum emulator or the real thing as the amount of colours on screen is pretty low, not as low as some other games we could mention but certainly not as rich as you would expect from an Amstrad CPC title. The characters in the game have all been very well developed and animated as you will see when you play the game for yourselves but the problems don?t just lie in the colour scheme as the game will flicker in certain places, this phenomenon has been discussed on the CPC Zone message board by emulator authors a few times and we can only conclude that it has something to do with the original coding of the game and not an emulator problem.
Sound
As for sound, the game is pretty silent in terms of music but does throw the odd sound effect your way every now and agin. Okay it?s not superb but at least the developers have given us something to listen to while trying to work out what to do next.
Gameplay
Now the gameplay, well providing you can figure the storyline out you should know what you are doing but for those that don?t you might just end up walking about in a huge circle blowing things up. As we mentioned earlier Amo Del Mundo is certainly a good, clean, fun adventure based shoot-em-up and despite the flaws it contains (refresh rates etc) it still remains a must play title.
Give it a go and judge for yourselves.
