After you see the film, you will ask "Why, oh why?". When you see the game, you will say

"YES!" In the game, corrupt company OCP is still trying to rid Detroit of crime so they can

build Delta City in it?s place. But despite the sucess of Robocop, there is a new problem.

Cain and his cult with their addictive drug NUKE. Robocop ends up finding his HQ and gets dismantled for his trouble. He is rebuilt and given directives that make him go mad and fry his circuits. Then he and the police force goto arrest Cain and his thugs, who ends up critically injured, an OCP doctor decides to use his brain for Robocop 2 - his first mission is to kill the Detroit mayor. The action comes to a climax at the OCP Civic Center where Robocop and Robocop 2 fight to the death. Many of these plots feature in the game along with a few sub levels where you practice your shooting and have to repair Robocop?s circuits.

The film was a complete pile of crap but is the game the same way?

Graphics

Ocean made this game on cartridge for the GX4000 and Plus machines so you know the graphics are going to be good, and good they are. They are a lot better than the original Robocop and more detailed. Robocop is easily reconisable.

Sound

Annoying music plays throughout the game which can?t be turned off. Sound effects are pretty poor as well.

Gameplay

At first it plays like the original Robocop, but in this game, you can jump! I admit I wasn?t able to get far in it due to bugs in the cartridge file I have but from what I was able to play, it was easy to get into..

The game was good (what I was able to play), so it?s a relief from the let-down film. If you can find a bug-free version, download it at once.
