This is the second of Ocean?s three games based on the Batman licence. This two part game sees you controlling Batman (of course) as you try to rescue Robin from the Penguin and the Joker.

Each part is like a game in itself with a lengthy tape load for each and you don?t need to play one half of the game to be able to play the other.

In the Penguin?s level - titled "A Bird in the Hand", you start in the Batcave and you go through the streets of Gotham City, fighting through the Penguin?s thugs and robotic penguins in order to find the Penguin and find clues to find the Joker who is holding Robin prisoner.

The Joker?s level - titled "A Fete worst than Death" also sees you starting in the Batcave, but this time you goto a circus to find the Joker and Robin.

Each part of the game is nice and long and is a very good game.

Graphics

The graphics are in 4 colour MODE 1 which look very nice. The characters are very big. The overall graphics are presented in the style of a comic book with each room represented in a comic book style frame and some rooms even have comic book style captions in the top corner.

Sound

A nice title track but no in-game music. In-game sound effects are limited, but considering the scale of the game, it can be forgiven.

Gameplay

Batman - The Caped Crusader is very easy to get into and the scale of the game makes it worthy of playing time and time again. This game never loses it?s appeal. To select objects, you make use of a menu system.

Yet again, Ocean have delivered a very good Batman licence. I recommend you download this at once!
