This game in the style of R-Type sees you as a man who rides a dragon through various levels in order to save the world. You could swear that this game is a sequel to R-Type because the game play is in the style of R-Type in all cases. At various points, you can get off your dragon and walk on the surface. You don?t see this game mentioned much.. Because R-Type 2 never got released on the CPC, Dragon Breed could be classed as a sequel or sorts.

Graphics

Monochrome MODE 1 graphics are used in this game and like with R-Type, are very nice. The detail is very good and the dragon is very cool. The game runs nice and fast.

Sound

Laser effects and explosions are used here which aren?t bad.

Gameplay

Just like R-Type, this game is very easy to get into, but it isn?t as addictive as it?s predecessor.

Dragon Breed is a must if you?re a fan of R-Type and is a jolly good play even if you?ve never played R-Type before.
