Anarchy has broken out on the planet Sentinel 4, rebels have taken over and the world is in chaos. You have been chosen for a mission. A mission that if successful will bring down the rebels and restore Sentinel 4 to it?s old peaceful ways.
You must break into the security complex were the rebels weapons and explosives are stored and destroy the entire supply, peace is in your hands.
Graphics
Anarchy does offer some very nice colourful and well thought out graphics that become noticeable from the moment you hit the fire button to start play. At first glance it looks like another of those Boulderdash clones that software houses keep spitting out and you?ll be wondering were your tank is, well to save you from looking and probably loosing a life in the process you should be in the top right corner of the screen. As you can see from the screen grabs below it does look nice and colourful - the type of graphics we expect from our beloved Amstrad CPCs. A very nice job has been done for the price of £2.99 in Hewsons "Rack-It" range, you?ld think that the game would be worse but it looks pretty good to us.
Sound
The sound is superb in Anarachy, the introduction music desevers turning up when you first load the game which features some very nice instruments and melodies - awesome stuff. You will also hear tiny snipets of music between levels, plenty of explosions and nice pingy pongy noises as you destroy the blocks. Again this is all very impressive indeedy.
Gameplay
For those of you wondering what type of game Anarchy is, well it?s puzzle based in which you must use the security drones to destroy the coloured walls and objects on the current level. To do this you disable a droid (watching for anything coming behind you) and blast it into the coloured bricks, they?ll explode until the path is clear. After doing all this it?s time to get out of there before you are blown to bits by the defence system.
Anarchy is another of those strangely addictive games that will certainly keep the average games player happy for a good hour or so, it?s not easy but for those that constantly play games of this type it?s not hard either. We sit this game on the border in terms of difficulty and are possitive that many of our readers will enjoy playing it.
