Now here's a strange puzzle game. E-Motion will get your brain cells working like no other game on the CPC. You control a little vessel which has to go around connecting to same coloured particles together. However, these particles can be joined together, or joined to you, or to another colour, and you have to make sure only the same colour particle hits each other otherwise you'll just add more particles of different colours. Sounds hard? But it's fun and mind-taxing!

Graphics

The graphics are bright, bold and colourful. The game is almost identical to the Amiga version in every way, but that's mainly down to the games simplicity. Each particle is in the shape of a ball and is highly detailed.

The movement is very fluid, and the physics involved is quite impressive. The more you push and pull things, the more they react, and you really can feel the tension of the particles flying around the screen.

Each screen is just one screen where your little pusher-craft can fly wrap-around the screen. Things can get really full on screen and there is no real slowdown.

The loading screen needs a mention too, and is really quite impressive!

Sound

There's a great tune that plays during the menu (the menu has plenty of options by the way!) and really captures the spirit of the game. The in-game sound effects are all nicely done too, with plenty of bouncing noises and explosions.

Overall the sound on this game is just right, with no over-kill or unnecessary sound effects.

Gameplay & Final Comments

What really makes this game fun is the "one more go" feel to the game. It gets progressively harder as you try and push and pull particles along without making two different colours hit each other.

For once in a game, if you progress off a level, you really have some satisfaction of knowing that all your hard work payed off. This is a game unlike any other on the CPC, and is well worth a look if you are into your puzzle games or just want something that little bit different.
