Another game that we here at CPC Zone have no idea about, it?s not written in English that?s for sure. The only details we can give you is that you star as a barabarian in times gone by and a lot of people seem to want to murder you - oh and you?re almost naked - sounds ok doesn?t it?

Graphics

Arkos is a very strange looking game indeed, the playing area is pretty small (as seen in some movie conversions). At first glance it looks like your average Codemasters release but you soon notice it?s not quite as well written as Codemasters games, character animation is fairly basic and a little slow at times, they also look almost identical until the big guards start to chase you around the screens.

Sound

Sound is fairly nice though as the intro theme has a certain melody to it, in-game sounds are also nice and certainly not as quiet as some later games. This is probably the best feature of this game and is something more well known developers could take note of.

Gameplay

Gameplay is another strange factor in this title, you are running about half naked in the time were vikings romed the earth only for some strange reason everyone is armed with laser guns - very strange indeed. It?s also ridiculously hard as you simply cannot avoid the oncoming gun fire and as soon as you are hit you loose a life and are force back to the start of the current screen - okay the developer gave you plenty of lives to play with but it?s not enough to get even half way through this title.

Many users will find the game frustrating, unresponsive and very difficult to play. Without any further information on the game we can?t delve into the story line so it?s one you simply must try for yourselves.

If you know the story for this title (English please) then send it into us at malc@emuunlim.com
