Not 100% corrent. Nowaday the term PC normally refers to IBM compatible PCs. BUT back in the 70s and 80s machines like the Apple II, the commodore PET, etc. were marketed as Personal Computers or PCs long before IBM decided to enter the PC market (IBM mainly built mainframes back then).
