What's about using the layout of Wikipedia? Unfortunately currently I have no experience with MediaWiki tables. Regarding the content I think we shouldn't copy sidebar links on the main page. What's about sections like: - Welcome/Description - CPC scene news - CPCWiki related news - new articles (larger ones) - additional important links not listed in the sidebar

Don't forget that some themes does not have a sidebar! I'm using a browser without css support (links2 in console mode under linux), so i prefer not having a sidebar... but there is some pages wich are difficult to find :)
Well, I thought about the sidebar when I did this design. My intention was to remove as much as possible from the sidebar, because today it is too overloaded (e.g. you have to scroll to reach the "search" field). The main page should be an entry from where you can start browsing the Wiki and reach the most important articles directly. Btw, have a look at Wikipedia - they don't have a big sidebar like this Wiki... --Octoate 20:24, 13 August 2006 (CEST)
