Hi folks,
I've officially got the CPC bug back now after my foray with the GX4000, I'm going to delve into my parents loft and dig out my old 464+. I know the monitor is up there as well, but I want to plug it into my TV to save space.
I've seen these SCART/Power combos on ebay here (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AMSTRAD-CPC-464-TV-CONNECTION-KIT-PSU-ADAPTER-ACTIVE-RGB-SCART-CABLE-/390401137879?hash=item5ae5b89cd7:g:FDAAAOSwt5hYa-5s) - has anyone tried them and if so, what are your thoughts? I saw a few threads that had had flickering/mixed reviews/some good experiences, but were from a while ago and wondered if they've improved.
Ultimately, I'd like to get a C4CPC cartridge running on it as I'm told the HxC floppy emulator can't be run on a 464+ (is this true?)
Cheers.
This HxC compatible device from Piotr Bugaj is designed for the 464 Plus and includes the necessary DDI-3 interface:

Ooh thats tempting...
The link you provided is for CPC464, 664, 128 scart not 464 Plus. The video out differs as someone on here more knowledgeable will tell you.
You will probably need this as well :
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Amstrad-Plus-Adapter-for-Amstrad-CPC-Monitor-or-Scart-Cable-/272508860690?hash=item3f72cb3912:g:0gAAAOSwEzxYa8~c (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Amstrad-Plus-Adapter-for-Amstrad-CPC-Monitor-or-Scart-Cable-/272508860690?hash=item3f72cb3912:g:0gAAAOSwEzxYa8~c).
This seller also sells the normal CPC scart lead.
A good quality regulated 5V power supply at at least 2A (hopefully that's correct for the plus as I don't have one) can be had quite cheaply but make sure it is indeed regulated. Again as someone more knowledgeable will advise, all power supplies are not made equal.
You could always make a scart lead yourself from an old scart lead and an 8 pin DIN plug as here: http://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/TV_SCART_cable (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/index.php/TV_SCART_cable)
With regard to HXC I have the DDI-3 for a CPC464 and it is fantastic, so I would not hesitate to recommend it.
I wouldn't use that adapter, get a proper kit made for a plus. The extra two pins in the plus socket provide stereo sound output, so they can be useful to have access to, which that adapter doesn't offer.

Could you recommend a proper kit for the plus?
There's a Plus version of the one that you linked from eBay (inc. sound):

Ordered. Time to get in the loft!!

The Power & SCART cable I ordered from eBay came and it looks great!! The plus is a little Yellowed after living in the loft for the last 5 years, but it started up first time and after a bit of polish looks great. Can't wait for the DDI USB to come so I can play games a plenty.
Might dig the colour monitor out and get it on eBay along with the stack of cassette games that are up there!!!
I like the little yellow display stands. Did you 3D print them yourself?

Laser Cut them after everyone had gone home from work. Yellow was in the spares/junk box otherwise they would have been black lol
